Knowledge Gardens have a Purpose

The better you define and understand the purpose of your knowledge garden the more effective you will be at knowledge gardening.

You don't necessarily need to start out with the purpose of your knowledge garden clearly articulated somewhere. But after you get a couple dozen notes in it, it is a good idea to spend some time and clearly articulate what you have planted in your knowledge garden, what that knowledge might be expected to grow into, and what measurable goals or insights the knowledge garden provides.
