SMART
A proper Big Goal should be:
Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-specific
-
Specific: Be clear about exactly what you want.
-
Measurable: Give specific numbers and measures for success. Don't say "I want to make lots of money" thats vague, say "I will make $10,000 per month".
-
Achievable: Make a plan and do the actual calculations. Saying you'll make $10,000,000 in 3 years isn't realistic, it's just a blind wish.
-
Relevant: Ask yourself "why" you want this goal. Everyone wants to be rich, but WHY do you want that exact amount, or that exact achievement?
-
Time-specific: A goal without a timeframe isn't a goal. If you don't set a deadline, how can you measure how close you are to it? I suggest picking a 3 year goal, that's close enough to stay on track and far enough in the future to actually build something big.
